Along with impacting gain and feed efficiency, research also suggests that plasma proteins aid in maintaining a consistent level of good health, particularly when added to nursery pigs or shrimp diets. Spray-dried plasma proteins are a diverse blend of many functional proteins. Plasma is a high quality protein source complemented by its high lysine level. In shrimp trials spray-dried plasma produced bigger, faster growing shrimp and enhanced survival in the face of a viral challenge.

HEMOPROT: Spray Dried Blood Cells are widely used in diets of many species from monogastric to fin fish. HEMOPROT is a high quality protein source (92% CP) that is highly digestible. The product is high in lysine and other essential amino acids. Another advantage of spray-dried red cells is its consistency from load to load. This leads to confidence in formulation and final nutrient values of the complete feed. Spray-dried red cells allow you to spare or replace fish meal, which can be expensive and very inconsistent. Typically a range of 2-10% red cells is added to fish diets. Research has demonstrated the use of spray-dried red cells in fish feed to increase fish weight gain and feed efficiency.
